From February 1985 through December 2005 Stan was employed in a range of management positions for what was originally known as MOVATS, Incorporated. The MOVATS business developed and provided test equipment, software and services for the various valve types found in nuclear power plants and in other process industries such as conventional power, petroleum production, refining and chemical. This highly successful business changed ownership during the 20 year period first purchased by Nuclear Support Services and merged with Henze Valve, then acquired by Westinghouse Nuclear and co-located with Innovative Technologies, Inc. (ITI) and operated as ITI-MOVATS. Crane acquired the business in 1997 which it now operates as part of Crane Nuclear, Inc.

In 2008, Stan created Score Atlanta, Inc. a US subsidiary of Scottish energy services company Score Group plc and served as president until September 2015. During Stan’s tenure as president, Score Atlanta performed sensor and electronic systems research and development, created new products and patented intellectual property and supplied condition monitoring systems and services for equipment used in power, oil and gas and similar process industries worldwide . Score Atlanta products include the V-Map on line data acquisition and monitoring system for valves, portable systems used to detect leakage through process plant valves and piping and a complete range of acoustic emission (AE) sensors and data acquisition hardware for monitoring piping, pressure vessels and other steel structures. Score Atlanta also provided on line monitoring services that assisted customers with interpretation of test results, maintenance planning for corrective action and engineering services required for permanent in-plant installation of condition monitoring sensors and systems.

In late 2015, Stan founded Valve Technology Consultants, Inc. and has successfully pursued various nuclear and oil & gas engineering and consulting projects. After the first year of operation VTC is best known as the lead research organization charted with development of a new application guide on use of acoustic emission to monitor nuclear power plant structures, systems and components.
