Contact Stan

As Director, Technical Programs, Stan managed engineering support services for domestic and international nuclear power plant customers. Because of the diverse knowledge and expertise needed in today's nuclear plant engineering environment, Stan developed partnerships and alliances necessary to provide a complete range of engineering solutions from plant to component level. Stan also played a key role in securing the coveted lead consultant contract during development and implementation of MOV programs for the 16 Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO) nuclear power plants. Technical expertise and informed commercial positioning topped the leading U.S. based nuclear power engineering and services suppliers and performance secured contract renewal.

In parallel with his services role, Stan directed research into new motor-operated valve (MOV) diagnostic approaches using the electric motor frequency analysis techniques originally developed by Oak Ridge National Labs. Stan provided guidance and engineering direction for the Technical Programs staff and to nuclear utilities during early adoption of motor based diagnostic technology for MOVs. Under Stan’s guidance, the Technical Programs staff and key customers worked together to develop procedures, technical basis documents, engineering reports and other technical information needed for commercialization of this emerging technology and use in nuclear plant applications.

A research summary report titled Validation of Motor-Operated Valve Frequency Domain Analysis Techniques was presented at the 5th NRC/ASME Symposium on Valve and Pump Testing in Washington, DC in July 1998.
