Contact Stan

Beginning with deployments to Southeast Asia as a young Marine, Stan has consistently performed well in international environments. As a civilian, Stan gained access to a virtually impenetrable Japanese nuclear power industry and cultivated relationships that led to numerous projects and customer equipment purchases. Later, Stan played a key role in capturing the lead MOV Program consulting contract for the 16 Korea Electric Power Company nuclear plants. In recent years, Stan successfully introduced a brand new technology to the highly entrenched offshore oil and gas industry of Malaysia.

Stan has also been a regular participant in international conferences and exhibitions such as the International Conference on Nuclear Engineering, Offshore Europe, Offshore Asia, Offshore Southeast Asia, the Pacific Basin Nuclear Conference, the Offshore Technology Conference, the Global Oil Show and others.

As The Korea Electric Power Company prepared to develop MOV programs for their 16 operating reactors, U.S. based nuclear engineering and services suppliers jockeyed for position with the key customer decision makers.

As the nuclear diagnostic products market stalled due to saturation, Crane Nuclear began pursuing potential opportunities in other process industries. One product that showed promise in certain regional markets was the newly developed ValveWatch on-line monitoring system. Not knowing a single individual in this market at the outset, Stan worked closely with a Malaysian sales agent in order to develop customer

After numerous presentations and meetings in late 1986, Stan’s first MOV diagnostic project in Japan occurred in early 1987 at Tokyo Electric Power Company’s Fukashima Plant north of Tokyo.

After a series of technical meetings and presentations, Stan and capable in-country sales agents positioned CRANE Nuclear for the lead consultant role. Stan coordinated a “virtual” organization of suppliers, many of which were competitors during the process and delivered the full range of engineering services necessary to implement a complete program that meets the most stringent nuclear requirements.
